Thrust rod, also called anti-roll bar, is an auxiliary component in the suspension system. Its main function is to prevent the body from excessive lateral roll when turning, causing unnecessary traffic accidents. Therefore, the main purpose of the lateral thrust rod is to prevent the car from rolling sideways and improve the balance of the car. The lateral thrust rod is a torsion bar spring made of spring steel. It is shaped like a "U" and is placed horizontally on the front and rear walls of the car. In the middle of the thrust rod body, a sleeve is articulated with the frame, and the two ends of the thrust rod are fixed on the left and right suspensions respectively. Only when the body moves vertically, the suspension deformations on both sides are the same, and the lateral thrust rods have no effect. When the car body rolls, the suspension jumps on both sides will be inconsistent, and the lateral thrust rod will twist. The elastic force of the rod body becomes the resistance that continues to make the car roll, and ultimately plays a role in lateral stability.
The thrust rod prevents the axle from shifting. The general straight thrust rod can only prevent the middle and rear axles from shifting forward and backward, while the V-shaped thrust rod can not only prevent the middle and rear axles from shifting forward and backward, but also prevent the left and right shifts. Because this When the car turns, the middle and rear axles may shift left and right, causing friction between the leaf springs and the tires. In severe cases, it may lead to premature tire wear, or even serious traffic accidents such as tire blowouts.
