The clutch pressure plate is a disk-shaped component located between the engine flywheel and the clutch plate. Its main function is to exert pressure on the clutch plate, thereby generating friction on the flywheel. This friction allows torque to be transferred from the engine to the transmission, allowing for smooth power delivery and shifting. The pressure plate consists of a housing, a diaphragm spring mechanism and a friction surface. The casing serves as a protective casing for the internal components of the pressure plate.
